Licensed Occupational Therapist Wanted

We are now looking for a licensed occupational therapist who wants to make a real difference for people through a close, person-centered, and rehabilitative approach. YOUR ROLE

As an occupational therapist with us, you will work to strengthen the individual's ability to be active and involved in their daily life, with the goal of creating independence, security, and quality of life. You will meet individuals aged 18 and above with health care needs at the primary care level, both in ordinary and special housing, and have the opportunity to follow the patient over time.

The work involves assessing activity ability and needs in dialogue with the patient and planning actions together with both the individual and their surrounding network. This may involve advice, training in daily activities, prescribing assistive devices, or making adjustments in the home environment. You work independently but never alone, as collaboration within the multidisciplinary team is a natural and important part of the assignment.

The role also includes contributing to the development of the organization and the profession, including mentoring and supporting other professional groups. The work is mobile, varied, and full of meetings with patients, relatives, colleagues, and partners both within and outside the organization.

YOUR COMPETENCE AND EXPERIENCE

You are a licensed occupational therapist. Previous experience in the profession is considered an advantage, but the most important thing for us is how you approach your assignment.

To perform the tasks, you need to have a B driver's license.

Skellefteå municipality is a Finnish and Sámi administrative municipality. Knowledge of Finnish, Sámi, or sign language is therefore advantageous.

YOUR NEW WORKPLACE

You will be part of the rehabilitation unit within the health and medical care unit, where approximately 30 occupational therapists and 20 physiotherapists work together, divided among three managers. Your workplace is based in central Skellefteå, and the entire municipality is your catchment area. Service vehicles are used for home visits.
